Only registered users can access the ANZ Direct Online system. Before you can use the banking services on this site you must be an authorised user of a registered customer of the Bank and agree to be bound by the Conditions of Use of this site and the ANZ Direct Online services. For information about protecting your password, the New Zealand Bankers' Association has produced a leaflet, 'Protecting your Cards, Pins & Passwords', which you can view here or pick up from any of our branches.
As with any normal banking transaction, the Bank
will treat your information and transactions as
strictly confidential. Once you log on to ANZ Direct Online,
your session will be secured using a 128-bit encrypted
connection between yourself and the Bank. All transactions
and internet messages using ANZ Direct Online
are transmitted in this encrypted environment, ensuring
that the information is protected by a high level
of security.
The browser that you use needs to support 128-bit data encryption, and we recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or higher. If you currently use a different browser, you can download the latest version of Internet Explorer from the Microsoft website.
Internet email is not a secure facility and should not be used to communicate with the Bank about your accounts. However, customers registered with ANZ Online Banking may use Secure Mail for this purpose.
ANZ Direct Online uses session cookies to hold user information once the user has been authenticated. This session cookie exists in memory only on the user's PC and is not stored in any way on the user's PC disk. When the user's browser is shut down this cookie is deleted. All requests for information are serviced from within a secure server environment and no information on you or your transactions is stored in the public domain.
